HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE IN QUARANTINE
For some people this quarantine has been the break they desperately needed from their busy lives while others are struggling to keep themselves occupied. Although the ongoing pandemic brings on uncertainty into the situation but for now the only way to be safe is to stay indoors and bring social distancing into practice. And while you are at it might as well be productive with your time rather than sulking on your couch. Here are five ways you can be productive and make the most out of your free time.
1. LEARN SOMETHING NEW:
Remember, learning shouldn’t be limited to a certain age group; you can learn something at any age of your life and succeed at it. And frankly now is the perfect time to learn a new skill that can help you in the future.
2. REFLECT ON YOURSELF:
We sometimes unknowingly do things that are harmful for our own selves. Take this time to reflect on your behavior towards others and yourself. Mend those broken relationships and learn to forgive.
3. LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE:
Do you have a friend that has a hard time speaking English? How about you surprise him after quarantine by learning his first language? There are many applications available on the play store that can help you learn a new language for free. Duolingo is one of them.
4. GRAB A BOOK TO READ:
It is said that reading a book reduces stress and increasing the memory span of a person. If picked the right one, this thing can also keep you entertained for hours while simultaneously increasing your knowledge. Remember the key is to pick the right one.
5. PRACTICE SELF DISCIPLINE:
Since we’re either working from home or taking classes from home we all love to sleep until the last minute of class or work and have morning tea/coffee while you’re at it but the most basic way to practice self-discipline is to go to bed on time and wake up early in the morning. There are also numerous other ways one can incorporate self-discipline in to their lives. Like follow a workout regime, or a diet plan, meditate and so on.
These are few things that can keep you occupied and also improve yourself while you’re in quarantine. So when you walk out quarantine you can enjoy the world with a different perspective.
