How to Reduce Environmental Pollution

In a world full of technological advancements, pollution is a major concern around the globe which is still incurable and the future of mankind depends on it. Every human being is a stakeholder of this planet and can contribute to at least control the growth of pollution. Pollution comes in various different forms and some of its major categories are: air, land and water pollution. Although it is incurable but there are some preventive majors to control the growth of air, land and water pollution.

Firstly, to control air pollution, which is a result of harmful emissions from industries and vehicles can be controlled through laws which are practiced in some developed countries that there should be a limit of emission imposed on the industrial sector and the vehicle manufacturers which they cannot exceed. Electric vehicles are also a major contribution in reducing pollution. Switching to green energy and avoiding uncontrolled combustion of harmful substances is the key to keep the air around us clean and healthy.

Similarly, water pollution which is caused by dumping harmful materials in the sea can be controlled by effective waste disposal techniques and assuring that no nuclear waste or industrial waste is disposed off into the sea before recycling into a harmless substance. Controlling the ship breaking area and oil enhancing the safety measures of oil trading ships can also play a significant role in controlling water pollution.

Furthermore, land pollution can be controlled if illegal dumping of waste is eradicated as recycling waste is always essential and if deforestation is avoided without replacing the same amount of tress that were cut down to a different location as the roots of the trees keeps the soil intact which reduces the risk of land sliding. On the other hand excess use of artificial fertilizers also destroys the fertility of the land but if instructions are properly followed, then it will have a positive result in the harvest as well the land in future.

Therefore, pollution in the modern world still has no absolute solution but there are ways in which every individual can contribute to control the growth of pollution by respecting the gift nature has provided us and responsibly following the major guide lines to prevent the rapid increase of pollution around the globe without any greed, as Bobby Seale said that:

“The only solution to pollution is a people's humane revolution!”
